The Details

Veridiam Inc. is one of the world’s largest contract manufacturers of assemblies and precision components machined from high performance metal alloys and medical grade plastics. Leveraging over 60 years of industry experience, Veridiam serves the medical, dental, nuclear, aerospace, industrial and semiconductor markets.

“Implementing Synergy has helped us to reduce scrap, reduce rework, reduce costs, and ensure that we deliver our products on-time to our customers”

“Because we have such tight tolerances, we use Synergy to ensure the parts stay in specification throughout the production process,” said Whitney Ginter, Quality Manager for Veridiam. “Sometimes we check 1 in every 5 pieces, 1 out of 25 pieces or we check 100%.”

“We have customer audits frequently, on average once a month, and some customers require capability and run charts prior to shipment,” said Ginter. “We use Synergy to provide real-time analysis of the production process as well as capability and run charts for them to review.” .

Ginter explained that the Synergy Statistical Process Control (SPC) software helps them monitor their tight tolerances in real-time so they catch everything as it happens. “We have such tight tolerances that we are constantly monitoring our process to ensure that the parts stay in specification and that we stay in control at each step of the production process. We are constantly improving our process control and data collection,” Ginter said. “That way we are constantly in the process of continuous improvement.”

Ginter says they really appreciate Synergy network capabilities. “We really appreciate the ability to analyze data while the operator is entering data at another location,” Ginter said. “The moment the data is in the system, you can graph it immediately. You can chart things in different ways. Synergy has a very user-friendly user interface.”

“Implementing Synergy has helped us to reduce scrap, reduce rework, reduce costs, and ensure that we deliver our products on-time to our customers” said Dave Ibanez, Vice President of EC Operations at Veridiam. “We closely monitor our on-time delivery to our customers.”
